The incredible first 24h

I must say the last 24 hours were an incredible experience! I didn't expect such a great response and we rushed through the first round of stretch goals in one go. We're over 250% funded and that's simply amazing: Thank you again for your trust, commitment and support!

Today I want to introduce some gameplay elements and how the freshly unlocked illustrations reflect these.

One thing to keep in mind: I want the game components to be language independent and have expressive illustrations and iconography to speak for themselves. While the graphic design is still temporary (my own early drafts) we start to work on the final illustrations.

The Star Ritual

When playing a Star Ritual you first select one of your trees. That tree must grow on the land type specified on that card: Sun, Rain, Wind or Snow. Then you gain Life Points for every other tree that is directly adjacent to it. 

For the illustrations we want to clearly show the dominant element of the land type, as well as reflecting that star shaped pattern emerging from the game mechanic. These are some early stage concepts from Florian Moncomble that we are currently iterating on. What's your favourite and why?

Next Goals

I'm super excited to announce the next upcoming SGs.

We start with a quality upgrade for the game box, adding a sweet UV spot and some well deserved linen finish.

What many of you kept asking me are unique spirits for the player boards! We already started looking into some concepts and I'm happy to work on this upcoming milestone! The spirits will add a lot to the immersive experience and are also the first building block for an upcoming feature I've planned.

And last but not least: Yes - all players should have their own custom spirits meeples! I can't wait to bring those to life as well and let them wander through the forests of Pangaia!
